Hello footy fans,
The AFL trade period is over, and the draft is coming up soon. The AFLW has had a rather successful season so far, with the final round coming up this weekend. I know that I'm not alone in being excited to see a terrific finals series, with the Lions and Demons looking like real premiership contenders.
So, as the AFLW wind's down season #7, I am looking to explore another avenue of footy. I've had the pleasure of talking to some of the greats of the game, along with some terrific supporters of the game as well.
I'm hoping to set up a series of discussions with people talking about their most memorable game. Maybe it was a game that they attended with a grandparent. Maybe it was a game that is still talked about in pubs and chat rooms on social media. Maybe it is an obscure game that has a special meaning to you, your family, or your mates. Maybe it is a game that you played in as a child, where your love for the game was chiseled into granite. I'd love the opportunity to help you share your story on the podcast. My plan is to do several shorter episodes, devoting 15-20 minutes to talk with each guest about their memorable game, and what made (makes) it so memorable.
If you've got a story about "your most memorable game", I'd love to hear from you. Please consider dropping me a note here on my website, https://www.ayankonthefooty.com/, or send me an email (ayankonthefooty@gmail.com, where you tell me a bit about your most memorable game.
Cheers,
Craig Wessels from A Yank on the Footy Podcast
