LOGLINE
An American college basketball player, overlooked in the NBA draft, travels down under to try his hand at the game of Australian Rules Football.

SYNOPSIS
Major Robinson made the choice to play Basketball over American Football, much to the dismay of his NFL hall of fame father. After missing out in the NBA draft, he is contacted by a scout for the AFL combine camp, who offers him a chance to try his hand at the game of Australian Rules Football.

Travelling to Melbourne, Australia he’s put on display for the eighteen teams in the AFL. Major’s basketball skills come in handy, he’s evasive, has a huge vertical leap, and is a great catch of the egg shaped ball. However, due to his lack of kicking skills, he is not selected by any of the clubs.

One of the scouts sees potential in him and contacts an old acquaintance at a country league football team to give him a chance to learn the game at a lower level. Major accepts this invitation and heads to a small country town in the middle of the Australian bush called Nagambie.
