John has a wealth of information about the Strang football history. He was also coached by Tom Hafey, Ron Barassi, and Ted Whitten and Tony Jewell in the VFA.
He still keeps in close contact with Kevin Sheedy, Rex Hunt, and Francis Bourke to name a few.

John had to stop playing in 77 when he was Captain / Coach of Wodonga when he was almost fatally injured in what was to become his last game.

He has a a lot of footy stories. He might be able to tee up some future interviews from his contacts.
